Baby John is a newly launched action thriller Hindi language Bollywood Movie that features Varun Dhawan, South actresses Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff as lead characters with Rajpal Yadav, Zara Zyanna, and others as supporting characters. The movie is written by Atlee, Kalees, and Sumit Arora and directed by Kalees. The Baby John movie is a direct remake of the 2016 Tamil movie Theri by Atlee which features Vijay Thalapathy as lead character.
The Baby John movie is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Murad Khetani, Atlee, and Priya Atlee under the banner of Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, Vipin Agnihotri Films, and A for Apple Studios and the distribution of the movie is handled by PVR Inox Pictures and Pen Marudhar. The cinematography of the movie is done by Kiran Koushik, editing by Ruben, and music done by Thaman S.
On 25 December 2024, The Baby John movie was theatrically released on all over India, inisially it was reported that the release date of the movie would be 31 May 2024, but later it was changed to 25 December aligning with Christmas Day.
Despite the movie being produced by Jio Studios, Amazon Prime Video got the digital streaming rights of the movie, maybe Jio could get it easily and stream it to their own streaming platform which is Jio Cinema, which is doing great and giving toufh competition to other OTT platforms like Amazon and Netflix. Also, recently Jio and Disney Hotstar got merged and formet JioStar, which is not launched yet for public.
